You Want That!

I’ve used tons of headsets before but never a Jawbone.  I found out that my work had a discount with Verizon and since Verizon sold the headset I figured what the hell and bought it.  To summarize – I LOVE IT!  It’s tiny and light weight.  This sucker makes ANY other Jawbone look HUGE.  Also, better than any other Jawbone – this model didnt seem to “care” at all about the fact that I shave once a week.  As many have probably noticed, previous models lost their effectiveness with the presence of stubble on the chin.  This is because the facial hair separated the sensor in the Jawbone from the jaw bone thus hindering its ability to pick up on vibrations.  Called LTxda and we definately agreed it did very well even though I didn’t shave.  The jaw sensor is greatly upgraded on this model as it’s a more pronounced nub instead of the tiny stick in the old models.  To boot they upgraded the power charger – no more proprietary cable needed.  Now its a standard micro-USB cable and its ACTUALLY USEFUL!!! There is software on the Jawbone site that you can configure the built in voices.  Specifically the way the software works and reacts.  You can change the voice dial settings and all.  As for those that are fashion sensed and focus on aethetics, the new Jawbone comes in many different designs/colors.  ~ You Want That!!!

Samsung Captivate for FREE - Sweet! & You Want That!!!

Looking for a new smartphone but they’re too expensive? Not if it’s FREE!!!! If you’re with ATT and are up for a renewal or want to sign up with ATT you can get the newly released Samsung Captivate for FREE by going through Walmart!!! This phone was just released on Sunday July 18th. If you go directly through ATT …it’ll cost you $200 WITH DISCOUNTS! If you go through Walmart it’s MUCH MUCH cheaper. Awesome new Android phone for FREE!!!…but you’ll have to hurry because the extended discounts expire on July 21st….this Wed! Damn good deal for a damn good phone!  16GB ROM!!! So the new Palm device is coming out this Saturday and you ask whats with all the hype?  Is it just another Palm?  I’ll answer you, No.  Palm after many many years of either running their own tweaked windows mobile OS or their antiquated Palm OS has finally come out with a new OS called WebOS.  This is similar to the way android is with a linux backend but the similarities stop there.  The Palm Pre runs their version called WebOS, based in javascript css and other various web languages, where android is more based in java technologies.  This Web direction should make an explosion of apps to come out for it as there is hundreds more people out there that can develop for Web than can develop for Java.  The Pre will come out with its synergy app, an app allowing you to pull contacts from all over the web including sources such as gmail, facebook, and even an exchange client out of the box.  They also have changed up the system so all the apps run as cards and you can quickly and easily switch between your cards or have it fan all the running apps out like you could with a handful of cards.  The Pre has caused a ton of interest all over because of its inovative OS and way it looks and runs.  I personally plan on buying one the day they are released to replace my wifes poor aging worthless Palm Centro.  The big test will be if it is simple enough for her to use without being frustrated but powerful enough to do all her email contact management and hopefully have some good budgeting and shopping tools for her as well. More to be written as I wait in line and buy her a Pre and see how she reacts to it.
